This non-profit event will help preserve this unique\, historic building\, and help make safety and accessibility repairs possible. Come celebrate the history of this Oakland landmark.\n\n\nWhat - 1929 Speakeasy Wine Tasting\n \nDate - Friday\, Nov. 20\, 2009\n \nTime - 5-7 PM Wine Tasting\n          7-9 PM No Host Dinner\n          Music by "Down By Six"*\n \nPlace - Bellevue Club Fourth Floor\n \nEntry Fee and Wine Tasting $20.00\nRSVP  510-451-1000\n \n*Down By Six is a sextet specializing in standards from the 1930s and 1940s with contemporary jazz songs.  The music is easy on the ears and is suitable for dancing.  The musicians are all professional working people who enjoy playing music together.  By day they are hospital administrators\, court reporters\, dentists\, publishers\, and financial consultants. \nLed by tenor saxophonist Gary Crangle\,  Down By Six includes Gray Cathrall on the piano\, Joe Evinger on guitar\, Tom Gregory on bass guitar\, Scott Corvin on drums\, and Karen Crangle on vocals.
